*** 2021 Markets & Festivals ***
As might be expected, the 2020 farmers' markets were not well attended. This badly hurt many vendors, and the Cabbage Cove was no exception. Another blow to us was that the handing out of free samples was prohibited. Our product is almost totally dependent on sharing with people, as so many have no idea what it is or how exceptional it tastes. This year, we are not sure where we will be. If we are not allowed to give out free samples, we may not attend all our markets. The same thing goes for our festivals. Currently, all we can do is to keep our followers informed via Facebook and an occasional e-mail or two. So please go to our Facebook page for regular updates, or email us at [email protected] with any questions about our markets or products, or to find out if we can ship our products to your location. |
• Education •
Part of our mission and passion is education (see gallery below). In 2016 we appeared on Northeast Public Radio WAMC's "Food Friday and lectured on "The Science & Art of Fermentation" at Hartwick College, Oneonta.
Until such time as the COVID-19 crisis has passed, we cannot schedule an education event. However, we have created a new YouTube Channel (The Cabbage Cove) that will feature educational & instructional videos. These videos, along with the soon-to-be-released 3rd edition of the book, "Secrets From The Cabbage Cove," will enable people to take control of their health and pocketbook by learning how to make this superfood for themselves! Please email [email protected] or check out our Facebook page for more information. |
• Assistance •
We are happy to help with any questions the home fermenter may have about creating their own varieties of fresh, raw fermented cabbage. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions, comments, and/or suggestions, and check out our secrets for successful fermentation in the book, "Secrets from the Cabbage Cove," (available on Amazon.com). The book explains why fermented cabbage is a "superfood" and why it is not only healthful and delicious, but time-saving, energizing, versatile, environmentally friendly, inexpensive and empowering!
We encourage and support the home fermenter, farmer or anyone interested in the science & art of fermenting cabbage. Check out the book, "Secrets From The Cabbage Cove" by Kyla Titus, available on Amazon or by emailing [email protected].
